Promotion

Since 2009, there has been a cooperation between the Tribology Competence Center and the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology of the Bratislava University of Technology(https://www.mtf.stuba.sk). There is also an Erasmus+ contract with this university.

Within the framework of this cooperation, it is possible to work on a scientific topic at the Competence Center Tribology in Mannheim and to register this work as a doctorate at the TU Bratislava. Within 4 to 5 years – building on a Master’s degree at the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences – the PhD degree (equivalent to our Dr.) can be obtained.

There is also close contact with the University of Braunschweig and the associated Fraunhofer Institute for Surface Engineering and Thin Films. Doctorates are also possible in cooperation with this institute.
