This test method is used to test and evaluate the flexing resistance of greases for rolling and plain bearings.
The fat sample is rolled through a small horizontal gear pump with a short-circuited channel. A change in consistency in the lubricant can then be detected by further rheological testing. Due to the high shear rate, an assessment of the flexing resistance of a grease can be made within a short time (a few hours to days).
The changes in the fat during the flexing process (e.g. oil precipitation, liquefaction) can be observed very well through the acrylic glass pane.
The fat temperature is displayed digitally during the walk process. By means of the temperature control channels, the grease can be maintained at a temperature between 20°C and 60°C.
(Overtemperature protection when reaching +70° C)
