The fourth specialist forum “Industrial research and science in dialog with practice” is dedicated to the topic of rolling bearings in theory and application.<\/p>\n

Wherever there is movement in technology, rolling and plain bearings are indispensable. This applies to general engineering, the automotive industry and others. Bearings transmit operating forces between moving machine components and thus play a decisive role in the functionality, efficiency and service life of the entire machine or plant. The loads on rolling bearings in particular are high and will continue to increase in the future, as will expectations of reliability. Therefore, suitable bearing selection and dimensioning as well as the optimal design of the storage environment are indispensable. This requires a constant increase in competence based on practical experience and scientific knowledge. These include, for example, bearing installation to ensure optimum internal clearance and preload, lubrication and seal design, corrosion protection, condition monitoring and targeted improvements based on extensive damage analyses.<\/p>\n

BEARING WORLD focuses on all aspects of bearings.<\/p>\n

The aim of BEARING WORLD is to promote the exchange of knowledge and experience between universities and engineers from industry who are involved in or responsible for the design, development, manufacture and assembly, practical operation or maintenance of bearings.<\/p>\n
