The rotary-oscillating micro-sliding friction test rig can be used to simulate oscillating friction wear conditions that occur during small swiveling motions or vibrations. In rolling bearings, these conditions lead to false brinelling or standstill marks. Sliding contacts result in what is known as fretting (tribochemical reaction). One problem with such conditions is that lubricant can hardly penetrate the sliding contact and any wear particles that are formed are not discharged. This results in a progressive damage progression.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In addition to dry conditions, the test rig at KTM also allows tests with liquid or paste-like lubricants or cooling media. The two independent test units allow simultaneous double determination of the tests. The units can be tempered from -10\u00b0C to approx. 80\u00b0C.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
